Bulin comes from Linquan county, Anhui Province, China. He finished his BA in Sociology in Anhui University, China, and holds Sociology and Statistics masters degrees from American University, George Washington University respectively. He is focusing on broad research topics on online platforms and social media. His recent research seeks to apply NLP techniques to large datasets obtained from social media to see how people utilize different discourses legitimizing the process of immigration in the United States. He is training himself to be a computational sociologist. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities, skiing, and sea sports.
