The HISB undergraduate internship offers students an opportunity to earn 3 credits of EGL 488.1 and gain valuable work experience while honing their skills in writing (for diverse media), interviewing, researching, and marketing.

This internship offers students an opportunity to earn up to 3 credits of EGL 488.1 and gain valuable work experience while honing their skills in writing (for diverse media), interviewing, researching, and marketing. Interns work closely with Humanities Institute faculty and staff to advance our mission: supporting and showcasing the work of those who explore the nature of human experience while actively engaging students and community members in this work. 

Duties (may vary according to assignment):

  • Conduct interviews with visiting scholars, artists & activists; 
  • Create content for various social media platforms; 
  • Edit videos for Instagram and YouTube; 
  • Conduct marketing & outreach;  
  • Organize and carry out your own "HISB Undergraduate Takeover" event

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Some knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • Creativity
  • Teamwork
  • Video editing skills a plus
